ExpiredVolunteer Training – Engaging Visitors to the ENC

  • May 16, 2017
    6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Volunteering at the Nature Center is more than just keeping the doors open. It involves interacting with our many visitors and helping them gain that enthusiasm for the natural world that we strive for. In this training we will talk about the many different ways to approach a visitor and how to get them engaged in the exhibits and information. We’ll talk about the best ways to answer those all too common questions like “Is this where we rent boats?” and “Can I use your bathroom?” so that they stay or come back to see the nature center as well. If you’ve ever wondered what to do with a family with lots of little kids that come in, join us at the Evergreen Nature Center for this interactive training.
