The Evergreen Nature Center has a New Home

old 1-story cabin with wrap-around porch and center chimney

We are so excited to be moving into the Historic Bancroft House as a year-round Nature Center!

The 2900+ sq ft building is on the campus of the Church of the Transfiguration and sits next to a beautiful meadow along Bear Creek — an easy walk from downtown Evergreen.

Being able to operate year-round allows for tremendous growth for our organization and community engagement. The center itself will have expanded exhibit space, a small gift shop, office space, and storage under one roof; along with easy access to classroom and meeting space. For the first time, the Evergreen Nature Center will have running water and plenty of parking!

Our staff and board are hard at work preparing the space and installing exhibits, along with planning an exciting new program calendar. We cannot wait to share this space with you and hope you’ll stay tuned for updates on our opening day!

Interested in supporting us monetarily?

Growing into a new space means an increased financial burden; your help is needed to support the new costs associated with this move, specifically the monthly rental costs. Please consider partnering with us as we grow in this exciting new location!
